Ethnic Community-based Organization for Immigrants and Refugees Inc. (ECOR)

is a non-profit organization (designated in the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 Section 501(c)(3). 

 

MISSION

To promote health and wellness in refugee communities and other historically underserved groups through service, education and health promotion. In collaboration with stakeholders and partners serving refugees, we ensure that newly-arriving refugees receive safe and affordable housing, food, and other basic necessities, and referrals for social and health programs. Our goal is to address health disparities from a multidisciplinary perspective.

Goals​

To advance health equity and promote health and well being by addressing social determinants of health. 

To build leadership capacity in communities.

To promote civic engagement and participatory research.

To diversify and strengthen funding base to ensure sustained services delivery.
